Lib.of Congress: Pat's Campaign Already Considered Historic
Portland, Maine — On October 2, the LaMarche for Governor campaign was contacted by the Library of Congress and told that its www.pat2006.com website was being archived in the LOC's official 2006 Election archive.
"We are proud of our web team, and happy that the Library of Congress has decided that the issues we have addressed on our website are worthy of being archived in our nation's official repository." — Pat LaMarche |
The LOC is the nation's public library, whose mission is defined as "acquiring, cataloging, preserving and serving collection materials of historical importance to the Congress and to the American people." It has archived campaign websites of historical importance during the 2000, 2002 and 2004 election campaigns.
"We are proud of our web team," said Pat LaMarche, "and happy that the Library of Congress has decided that the issues we have addressed on our website are worthy of being archived in our nation's official repository."
