Terrific Turnout at First Online Townhall Meeting

LaMarche "Thrilled With Voter Involvement and Interest"

Portland, Maine — Pat LaMarche answered questions yesterday from people from all parts of Maine in the first Online Town Hall Meeting of the 2006 gubernatorial campaign. LaMarche, the Green Independent candidate, fielded a range of questions in the hour long "chat" hosted on her www.pat2006.com website.

The next Online Townhall will be held on Tuesday morning, October 3, from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.

"I think the first Townhall Meeting was a tremendous success," said LaMarche. "It's an incredible opportunity to communicate directly with Mainers about the issues that concern them most. I'm happy that I was able to answer questions from so many different people and that my fingers lasted the entire hour," said LaMarche

LaMarche will "meet" with voters in weekly Online Townhalls throughout the remainder of the campaign. The next Online Townhall will be held on Tuesday morning, October 3, from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. All interested voters are invited to participate. Participants can use AOL, MSM, Yahoo or any other Instant Messaging (IM) handle.
