The staff and volunteers of the LaMarche for Governor campaign would like to say thanks and wish a hearty farewell to our friend and colleague, Nathaniel Goddard, who left to attend college in the fall after being an indispensable member of the campaign staff all summer.

Nathaniel has served the campaign in a variety of capacities — as a volunteer, signature-gatherer, phone-banker and database manager. He has always been ready and willing to help with a ready smile and cheerful efficiency. Whenever asked to take on a challenge--no matter how big or how small — Nathaniel always responded with his trademark remark, "not a problem."
Nathaniel Goddard grew up in Bath and Yarmouth, and recently graduated from Yarmouth High School. He volunteered for the campaign way back when it was beginning, and had the computer skills needed to keep everything together. When he said that he used text messaging more than email, Pat and her staff decided to use texting to reach out to students and young voters during the campaign.
Nathaniel currently is a college student who plans on becoming a video game designer. He enjoys role play games, listening to music, and talking to his friends over Skype.
He supports Pat because she is the best hope for students like himself, who are dealing with heavy student loans and diminishing job prospects in Maine. "I admire Pat for standing up for all Mainers," said Nathaniel. "She has two college kids of her own, so I know she understands what I am going through."
